THE HOPE UNSHAKEN. STRONGER THAN SILENCE.
Helping individuals and families feel less alone, more informed, and empowered-one step at a time.

Helping individuals and families feel less alone, more informed, and empowered-one step at a time.

At THE HOPE UNSHAKEN, we strive to empower individuals and communities by reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. Our mission is to provide support and resources that foster healing and resilience in everyone we reach.

Andrea “Vikki” Hoyland is a mental health advocate, writer, and volunteer peer supporter committed to helping others feel less alone and more empowered in their healing journey. Vikki volunteers with several organizations in the community and is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid as well as Adult Mental Health First Aid. She has also completed multiple NAMI trainings, including becoming a NAMI SMARTS for Advocacy Florida State Trainer, and continues expanding her credentials through ongoing education and service.
Vikki’s work is deeply rooted in lived experience. She is a survivor of childhood trauma, bullying, and domestic violence, and also a survivor of a family member’s suicide. Vikki has been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety, among other conditions. Through resilience and relentless inner work, she is proud to share that she has overcome substance abuse, a severe eating disorder, self-harm, and suicidal ideation, attempts, and crisis seasons.
Today, Vikki uses her voice—and her creativity—to advocate for mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and help others find resources, support, and hope. Through writing, storytelling, community education, and peer connection, her goal is simple: to be a light in someone’s darkness and to remind others that healing and resilience are possible—one step at a time.
Outside of advocacy work, Vikki enjoys writing and spending time with the people she loves, including her two dogs who bring comfort, joy, and grounding to her everyday life.

THE HOPE UNSHAKEN is rooted in one truth: individuals, families, and caregivers deserve to be seen, heard, and believed—without judgment and without shame. I believe in second chances, honest conversations, and making sure no one has to suffer in silence. Through lived experience, advocacy, peer support, and education, I help people find light at the end of the tunnel and take the next step forward—one step at a time.
